Pete Clark & Ron Shaw - Jig Of Chance [CD]






Music old and new in the Scottish tradition. Performing in some wonderful acoustic locations provided the inspiration for this album, and Pete Clark (Fiddle & Viola) & Ron Shaw (Cello) have endeavoured to achieve the same natural sound in this recording. Their repertoire is diverse, ranging from very old Gaelic melodies to new compositions, and includes music be some of the big names in Scots fiddle history - Niel Gow, Nathaniel Gow, Robert Mackintosh, William Marshal, Peter Milne and James Sott Skinner. Darkness and light, sorrow and celebration, this music has it all.

Trail West - One That Got Away [CD]




Debut album from the young band from Tiree, who are creating a storm throughout the Scottish music scene. Formed on the Isle of Tiree in 2008 by founding members Ian Smith (Accordion/ Vocals) and Andrew Findlater (Drums/ Vocals), the band has since added further Hebridean fire power with multi-instrumentalist Seonaidh MacIntyre (Whistles/ Bagpipes/ Tromb/ Vocals) from South Uist and fellow Tirisdeach Alain Campbell (Guitar/ Bagpipes/ Vocals) to create a blistering sound that presents an exciting twist on the traditional ‘west coast’ ceilidh band style.

North Sea Gas - Tak A Dram Afore Ye Go [CD]




Thirty years and stronger than ever!! One of Scotland’s most popular folk bands with great vocals and tremendous three part harmonies. Guitars, Mandolin, Fiddle, Bouzouki, Whistles, Bodhrans, Banjo and good humour are all part of the entertainment. North Sea Gas have received Gold and Silver disc awards from the Scottish Music Industry Association and regularly have sell out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
