Jenna Cumming - Kintulavig Ref: SKYECD36Jenna Cumming has a rare singing talent, which has been evident since she was a very young girl. Niamh Parsons With Graham Dunne - The Old Simplicity Ref: GLCD1232Old simple style it may be, but it's a refreshing change from some incongruously orchestrated folk manners! Niamh has a pure high voice, ideal to carry the tender emotions of the songs. Most are relatively recent compositions; songs of hunger, of danger, of death and defeat, but they are offset by the gently airy instrumentals which relax the ear. Not an easy album emotionally, but a beautiful one in tone, with Niamh's clear vocals highlighted by Graham Dunne's guitar and Dennis Cahill's bouzouki and mandolin.
